On the frog you can’t hook it up top dat way like a worm..I run a straight shank hook with a weedguard for them,even worms..
The straight shank hooks for Bass fishing are still the best!

John showed me this about 8 years ago. It helps so much. Every once in a while the hook still goes into the swimbait or frog – but it happens a lot less. I have a friend who hated fishing horny toads because he missed most of the hook sets… after John showed him this he loves it.
I learned something for sure! You know I have had alot of frogs get fouled in the rubber. The swimbait trick looks very interesting. Thanks Matt!
